Design Philosophy and Operational Role[]
The Spartius is considered the jewel of the Renegade and Commonwealth armoured forces, because its design provides an optimal balance of speed, protection and offensive firepower. To add to these battlefield attributes, the Spartius is also easy to maintain, transport, and operate. Crewmen find that the tank's handling is smooth and responsive, gunners and commanders appreciate the intuitive layout of the controls and monitors, and the carried Legionnaires value the spacious infantry compartments and ample protection and shock-padding. Since its introduction in 6800, this tank has endeared itself to the Legions who have been issued with it.
