Senior Optio, later Centurion, Greerson Kane is an officer in the Manus Prima (First Manus) of the 2567th Provisionary Renegade Legion. He appears in the novels Damned If We Do... and Frost Death by Peter L. Rice.
Kane is a young man with unruly blonde hair and a boyish smile, irreverent, cheerful, and bursting with energy. His position in the heavy armour Cohorts of the Manus Prima gives him the freedom to bend rules a bit, which he does with relish, and occasionally share his opinion of their leadership style with nominally superior officers. For all his unconventional behaviour, he is a daring leader, and his optimism is contagious in the units he commands.
