The Deliverer's data sheet.

The Deliverer's design specs, from the Centurion boardgame's Legions sourcebook.
The Deliverer is the newest heavy grav tank issued to Commonwealth and Renegade Legions. The tank thus reflects the current design and tactical philosophy of the Commonwealth / Republican alliance.
Design Philosophy and Tactical Role[]
The Deliverer is primarily an assault vehicle that attempts to quickly destroy any enemy forces blocking the advance of the swifter medium and light grav vehicles. For this purpose, it is equipped with massive armour and shield protection, combined with a devastating level of firepower.
The two 1.5/6 laser systems mounted in the hull use an innovative armour protection system. Rather than exposing the vulnerable laser barrels and then being forced to armour them, the tank mounts the two lasers internally in the hull. Once a target has been locked on, the armour cover retracts, and the lasers pop up to fire. Once fired, the lasers retract again into the hull. Though complex and difficult to maintain, the system seems to work smoothly and has substantially reduced the number of damaged and warped laser barrels.
The 200mm Gauss Cannon is also mounted in an unusual manner. Many tanks that mount heavy cannons in the hull split the nose of the vehicle to allow the cannon's long tube to depress while protected on the sides by the armoured prow sponsons. This allows the vehicle to maintain its altitude at treetop-level (TTF) or low-altitude flight (LAF) while still being able to engage ground targets with its main gun. The cannon's depress fearure is usually only a matter of a few degrees to prevent the cannon barrel being sheared off if the tank is forced to ground. Larger depression is achieved by dipping the nose of the vehicle.
The Deliverer's designers took the concept a step further. The Deliverer's Gauss cannon is capable of up to 20 degrees of depression and elevation, as well as 5 degrees of lateral movement. This increases the tactical flexibility, especially when ambushing enemy tanks from a fixed position, but also exposes the barrel to damage if the vehicle is forced to ground.
To counter this problem, the designers installed an independent terrain-following radar system that automatically elevates the gun tube if it is in danger of being slammed into the ground. It can also extend skids to the left and right of the mounting to ensure that it is not damaged.
While efficient, the system is regarded as overly complicated, especially with an eye on maintenance and repair. It is likely that in the future the Deliverer's front hull will be redesigned to a more conventional configuration.

Not the safest way to travel. (Deliverer is not to scale.)
